I have been thinking about love in the context of my Gram..when i was young and she would try to direct me, i "hated" her. she was mean and not fun. As i became an adult i loved her more and more for her strength of character, her unwavering self awareness and her words of wisdom. She was a woman who lived through the tough times of depression, bore 11 children, lost 2 very young and 2 in the last 20 years. She fed and cared for her children even through years of alcoholic abuse from grandfather(i never knew him). And this family of aunts and uncles are the happiest, fun lovingest people i know!
* 1John3:18 "Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth."*
My Gram did this. she was never light with her words like we are, saying "i love this" about anything that comes across our path. She loved in actions and in truth and meant it when she said it.
This day, love someone in actions. Do something that SHOWS them love; a gift, a service,a card with encouraging words. Lets be sincere when we say love and mean it truly.
Please do keep all those under the terrible storms in ND, KY, KS in our prayers as they are starting spring without homes and probably alot more.
